“Hello Ruby Jean readers! I’m so happy and honored to be here today to share a little about myself and my blog, A Sort Of Fairytale, where I write about all things vintage and little snippets of my sort of fairytale life.
I’m Stacey, a Flea Market, Estate Sale, Thrift Store, Vintage Lovin’ Wife and Mom. We just bought our first house and I am busy trying to make it the vintage style home of my dreams on a budget ( a word I wish was not in my vocabulary ). I have an Etsy shop, Maggie Jane’s Vintage, where I sell vintage and handmade decor and gifts.I also sell my vintage treasures and handmade items at local flea markets ( I’m a total flea market junkie ) and vintage markets/events. I am super passionate about vintage style, particularly decorating, but am a sucker for vintage fashion too. My full time job is Stay-At-Home Mom and my “part time jobs” are blogging and selling vintage.
I recently just got back into the art of photography again {was one of my majors in college}, so I am having fun taking pictures of rooms and projects around my house… I’m re-learning everything I once knew in school {we were using film back then} and learning so much more! By the way, don’t you just love Angelina’s photos here of her amazing aprons and sweet little finds?! That gal just has oodles of talent, her sewing skill just blow me away!
Speaking of sewing, I borrowed my mother-in-law’s sewing machine over the summer and have been trying to teach myself some simple projects. I have so much to learn, and may not ever become a really good sewer, but I am having fun creating! I love being able to use vintage fabrics and vintage inspired fabrics to create decorative accessories like pillow covers and curtains for my home. My next project is going to be a tote/purse…eek!
Well that pretty much rounds up what’s going on in my little corner of the world right now, I hope you’ll pop over and visit me sometime and say, “Hi”! Last but NOT least, I am super excited about a lovely giveaway that Angelina and I have in the works for you, so stay tuned…
