Simple Gifts

We recently celebrated our daughter’s 8th birthday.

But with our recent move, the missing 4mths of my  life ( morning sickness ) trying to get settled, getting things ready for homeschooling, as well as trying to catch up on commitments made prior to getting sick.

We celebrated a very quiet and simple birthday.

Jessie~Mae, Loves anything that has to do with hand sewing or stitching. So I thought I would put a simple gift together for her.  The beginnings of her very own Embroidery set.

She has been eager to make something for the Baby, so I thought I would purchase a little bib she could embroider as well.

She was so thrilled and couldn’t wait to begin.

So a Simple gift also turned into a Sweet gift that she will be able to give to her new baby sister.

One that will CERTAINLY be cherished for many years to come.

Blessings,

Angelina

What a sweet idea! I love that she wants to make something for the baby – thus potentially starting an heirloom styled tradition. :

How lovely, I teach home schoolers embroidery and sewing and they get all the prizes at the Royal Adelaide show. They (5) of them have been coming here for 7 yrs and are just so good. They can’t start too early, they pick things up so quickly. Glad you are feeling a little better. xx

Love this! We did something similar for our daughter last year. She is a horse lover so we gave a plain white apron along with some “horse and roses” inspired embroidery transfers and an assortment of lovely floss… I love the gifts that inspire a future Proverbs 31 woman :)
