I LOVE this time of year!!
When the weather begins to change ( though it’s a bit slower for us here in Southern California ) and cooler temperatures are on the horizon ( can’t wait for that, we will be up to 110 this week, YIKES!!! )
However, I gladly embrace the Warm Scents and Rich Aroma’s that Fall brings.
Especially, homemade Apple Butter.

Everything about fall is my favorite, the scents, the blue skies, the crisp fall air, the colors of the changing leaves, the harvest fests, Halloween decorating . . . I love it all! So glad to see you up and feeling better BTW, I sent prayers your way!

I too live in S.CA. ,Rancho Cucamonga.Oh boy,this coming week is going to be a scorcher for sure.I hear other bloggers starting to get cool weather.I want fall to come soon,esp.for the poor kids who have to go to school in this heat.Can’t wait to cozy on up in a blanket with book and the smells of fall coming out of My kitchen as My dinner is cooking.
This is my absolute favorite season!!! I love the fact that it begins to get less humid here. I love the colors, the pecans falling, and all of the spicy and caramel flavors going on. I really get in the mood to bake this time of year. Topping my favorite list about fall is Thanksgiving.
I’m looking forward to your tutorial! I just finished a batch of pear butter, and have one more batch to go.
On another note, that smiley apple in the background is so sweet. I had one of those when my kids were little and it was a favorite.

Wow those are some hot temps. We have already had frost here, but the Apple crop is so tasty right now. I love the pinafore, such a darling pattern.

I love the fall! I live in Colorado and we have already had cool temperatures. The seasons are very pronounced, here, in Denver. I love the photos of the little girl holding the apple. My grandmother used-to make apple butter every year and it was so delicious. I wish I had paid better attention to her cooking and canning. Because of her, I am able to cook many dishes, but I didn’t pay attention to the baking, canning and candies…. Many blessings!

We have to dress in layers here in So. Cali in Anza!
We get some cooler temperatures… and the evenings are nice(r)
Yet when we drive down the mountain and end up in Temecula… we can for sure see that Autumn has not started yet there.
It is fun and weird alike to see the huge differences even when you are only half an hour away from other area’s!
And yes, here to it is going to be hot this week!
My favorite food… SauerKraut mixed with mashed Potatoes, thick gravy in a puddle on top! Topped up with a Sausage or Meatball.
It is an all time Dutch Recipe what we all love when the temperatures go low (preferably towards 35 degrees!) But, yes, that is a tad bit too cold for me… That is why I love to be in California!
Have a great week even though we will face the heat!

Oh the pictures are so gorgeous and looking forward to the applesauce for sure! My favorite part of the Fall is the COOL Breezes and the smell of apple crumble with extra crumbs!!! Also vegetarian delights made with all kinds of fall veggies…starring pumpkin : ) Sending hugs to all!
