I LOVE a good challenge, especially when it’s a sewing challenge. Well the wonderful folks over at Project Run and Play along with Jessica from Me Sew Crazy are throwing a Pattern Remix Challenge for the Spring Fever Dress. Now you know I couldn’t pass this up, Right!!
The moment I heard about it,I knew EXACTLY the fabric I was going to use for this challenge. I had some Fabulous Target Sheets that I have been holding on to that seemed to be the perfect fit for this project. The design and colors couldn’t be anymore perfect for the Spring Fever Dress Remix.
Now, I must apologize!! But, these are the only pictures I got of the dress making progress. I got so wrapped up in it and totally forgot about the tutorial process.. That is, until I was pressing the jacket and dress did it finally dawn on me.
So, I guess you’ll just have to enjoy the finished product. (he, he,he )
I stayed with the layered skirt, only elongated them and added a Peter Pan Collar ( I’m addicted to them . I thought originally I would add sleeves to the dress but opted in the end not to, since I was going to be adding a little jacket as an accessory. I made a basic buttoned back and added a removable Belt/Sash for the waist.
All in All, we are in LOVE.
How about you?
Be sure to stop over at Project Run and Play and check out the other remixes being added.
Don’t forget!!!
Tomorrow the first “Knock Our Socks Off, Party” will be going LIVE at 8p.m. EST. With yours truly and Jessica over at Mom4Real.
So get those Links Ready!! Can’t wait to see you there.

Such a lovely dress! It’s great when inspiration strikes in odd places…like sheets. Who would have thought. Your pictures are stunning too!
I just totally love it!! I used to make stuff out of sheets years ago, but for some reason had totally forgotten it as a pattern source. I’m so glad to be reminded. That pattern definitely screams, “Make something springy out of me”.
The dress is adorable! And your sweet model also:-) I have some pretty vintage floral sheets that I have been saving until I came across the perfect pattern to make them into dresses!
That is adorable, Angelina! I love the fun sheets you used for the main part of the dress. The grey made for a nice contrast and I love the jacket.
Thank you so much Kathy!! We really loved how this turned out!! I still have quite a bit of fabric left over, so I am sure more projects will be coming up with this same print
