How to make a Fabric Clothes Hamper using Waverly Fabric.
Do you LOVE Waverly Fabrics as much as I do? Then your going to be just as EXCITED as I was to find out it’s Waverly’s 90th Anniversary and there is a Consumer Waverize it project going on. You can get more details about that HERE!
I recently had the opportunity to work with some Waverly fabric myself. I received this Beautiful fabric and had to come up with something CREATIVE to do with it. I wasn’t quite sure at first and actually went back and forth with different ideas. It wasn’t until I started thinking more about practical things I could use or make, I finally settled on the idea of making a Clothes Hamper with my Waverly Fabric.
I asked my husband if he could build me a basic Hamper shape. Which I completely forgot to get the pictures of the process, but it is pretty straight forward. However if anyone is interested in a tutorial, I would be happy to put one together.
I stitched ALL my FOUR Panels together. Then sewed the ends together, creating a LONG Box like shape. I attached my BOTTOM square piece and Finished my Top edges by folding them to create a Hem.
On the Front of the Hamper ( Where the Dowels are ) I cut 2 Pieces the same length across and created a Panel and attached velcro to hold it to the Hamper.
So what do you think, are you LOVING our new Waverly Clothes Hamper as much as we are? So why not consider taking the Waverly Challenge yourself. Go HERE to find out how you can do, just that! I can’t wait to see what you come up with, I am sure you will have just as much fun as I did.
