World Market Dinner Napkin Apron
Where has the time gone? It SERIOUSLY just seems like yesterday, that I was putting out holiday post right and left. This year the Holiday Season has completely taken me by surprise. Do any of you feel that way?
The Holiday Season is chalk full of running around, making plans, drawing up your holiday dinner menus and preparing your home for out of town guest. With all that going on, there often isn’t a whole lot of time left over for Diy, Crafting or Sewing Projects. So if your anything like me, the Holiday’s call for REALLY simple projects.
With that being said, I am so excited to be part of one of the most AWESOME, Christmas Extravaganza’s going on.
The line up and talent is beyond amazing and I am looking forward to seeing what everyone has to share. You can find the FULL line up at the bottom of this post and I know you are not going to want to miss out on any of this HOLIDAY goodness!!
World Market is one of my favorite places to shop, I have shopped and frequented their stores since I was a little girl. This is going back to when their stores were called “Cost Plus”. We often went to the one there in Oakland Ca, I believe it was across from the police station. I can remember it like it was yesterday, I always looked forward to our shopping trips their and walking up and down the aisles, taking in the Colors, Smells and Textures. World Markets merchandise seemed to be like nothing else I had ever seen, and their toy section was something I could get LOST in.
Today I find myself gravitating to the more grown up things, but still find myself at times drifting over to the toy section.
On one of my recent trips to World Market, I came across these ADORABLE stamped dinner napkins. I loved the Natural feel of the Fabric and the graphics were simple and sweet. The Dinner Napkins have a tiny little bell sewn to onto each edge, making them playful and fun.
Of course the moment I saw them, I knew that they were not going to be used as your traditional, Dinner Napkin. I saw Holiday Dinner Napkin Aprons, for the girls.
I couldn’t imagine a better way to Dress up and Protect, their holiday dresses.
These World Market, Dinner Napkin Aprons are so VERY easy and quick to put together. Were talking 5 minutes, EASY!!
Here’s what I did, staring from the top right picture.
Open up your Dinner Napkin, fold the TOP edge over. Then fold it BACK on itself. In between your folds place the edge of your satin ribbon. NOTE: cut 2 pieces of satin ribbon according to the measurements needed for your child or adult.
OPTIONAL: you can place Ric Rac or any other trim and the bottom edge of your fold for decoration.
Final: Stitch along your sides and top edge to keep your Satin ribbon in place.
Press with a Hot iron and your done!!
So quick and so easy, RIGHT?
So, So, VERY simple and cute!!
These World Market, Dinner Napkin Aprons would surely dress up any Holiday dress or make for one AMAZINGLY sweet gift.
The Napkins are very reasonable at $3.99 each and with a little bit of Satin Ribbon
( which if your like me, you have PLENTY laying around your house )
You will have yourself one VERY affordable and fashionable gift to give.
This project will certainly work with any World Market or other Dinner Napkins you have on hand. Another great thing to use would be, Dish Towels. How cute would those be? I paired this Apron with this ADORABLE head piece from my Sweet friend over at www.luckyfacethreads.com
The Sweet little Jingle Bells on these Dinner Napkins, make for some added fun.
So when your out and about this Holiday Season, be sure to stop in at your World Market store and pick yourself up some Dinner Napkins and have some fun, turning them into Holiday Aprons.
Don’t forget to check out all these other AMAZING bloggers, for some more HOLIDAY goodness we have going on. Also be sure to check back on December 13th for one GIANT linky party, you certainly don’t want to miss it.
Hope to see you there!
